In this class, attendees will be inspired to reimagine their favorite St. Pete murals in a fresh and personal way. Using pre-made mini mural walls, participants will have the opportunity to reinterpret some of the most iconic local murals by transforming them into their own artistic vision.
Attendees will receive scaled photos of various St. Pete murals that they can trace onto their mini murals, then use a combination of stencils and freehand techniques to add their own unique twist. By working with acrylic paints and paint markers on a new surface—other than canvas—participants will learn to enhance their creative skills and develop a deeper understanding of these mediums.
Alongside exploring color theory and composition, this class will focus on how to create a cohesive design, with guidance on image placement and balance. Each participant will walk away with a vibrant piece of art to take home, a personalized tribute to the St. Pete art scene.
